Errol Schwartz is a Cape Town-based specialist communication skills facilitator. He brings to the classroom a wealth of experience as a trained actor, writer, educator and business owner. His work spans four countries, having presented or taught courses in Germany, Jordan, South Africa and the United States.
Errol studied Speech and Drama, with a focus on Voice Production and Scriptwriting, at Tshwane University of Technology. He began his career as an actor, starring in the role of Jaco Allemans in the SABC mini-series Riemvasmaak, and as a voice artist for companies such as Saab Grintek and PNet. He then worked as a Brand Ambassador for retail companies including Nespresso.
Over the past decade, Errol has worked as an educator in primary, secondary and tertiary environments. In 2010, he led an educational campaign for Nestle Milo focused on health promotion, physical development and movement. Errol taught English Language and Speech and Drama courses based on the International Baccalaureate programme to secondary school students at a private international school in Jordan. He has guest lectured in Creative Writing, Producing, and Film and Media Studies at Tshwane Institute of Technology, Colorado Film School and the University of Cape Town, respectively.
As a sought-after public speaker, Errol has addressed primary schools, churches and international fora. As a delegate to the 2015 Bucerius Summer School on Global Governance in Germany, Errol represented South Africa in a high-level international forum, participating in debates with delegates from 50 countries.
Errol is the founder and director of Bohemeon Productions, a boutique film production company focused on innovative storytelling, which produced South Africa’s first award-winning smartphone film. In his role as producer, Errol writes business plans, proposals, financial plans and pitch documents for a wide range of audiences including potential funders and government institutions.
